Status Update as of April 5, 2018:

The deadline to submit claims has now passed for the Qantas Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Thai Airways, Japan Airlines, Air France, Singapore Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, and Malaysian Air Settlements.

The Effective Date for the Qantas, Cathay Pacific, and Thai Airways Settlements occurred on June 15, 2015, and the claims closing date for these Settlements was October 13, 2015. The Effective Date for the Japan Airlines (“JAL”), Air France, Singapore Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, and Malaysian Air Settlements was December 4, 2017, and the claims closing date was April 3, 2018.

Proposed Settlements have been reached with Philippine Airlines, Air New Zealand, and China Airlines. Class Counsel filed a motion seeking preliminary approval of these Settlements on January 10, 2018. If the Court grants preliminary approval, a detailed notice regarding these Settlements will be posted on this website. Copies of Settlement Agreements, Plaintiffs’ Motion for Preliminary Approval of the Settlements, and related documents can be viewed on the Court Documents section of this website.

If You Bought an Airline Ticket Between the U.S. and Asia, Australia, New Zealand, or the Pacific Islands,

You Could Receive Money from Class Action Settlements.

Consumers can get money if they bought a ticket for air travel that includes at least one flight segment between the U.S. and Asia/Oceania at any time between January 1, 2000 and the Effective Date*.

*The Effective Date is the date all of the following conditions have been met: (a) the Court has entered Judgment; and (b) the time for appeal has expired, or if an appeal occurs, the Judgment has been affirmed and no further appeals are possible.
